Jammu: After the closure of traditional routes of infiltration due to snowfall in the Kashmir Valley, Pakistan is now in the process of infiltrating through the international border in Jammu. In Jammu’s Samba sector, BSF foiled two such infiltration attempts by Pakistan and killed one infiltrator while one infiltrator was caught alive.
In two separate incidents in Jammu’s Samba district, Border Security Force personnel deployed along the border foiled two infiltration attempts by Pakistan. The first case is of Arnia sector of Jammu where the jawans posted on the border noticed some suspicious movement on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. The jawans posted on the border saw a person coming fast from the Pakistani side towards the Indian border and when the jawans posted on the border asked this person to stop, he was rapidly coming towards the Indian border, after which the jawans fired on him. In which this intruder got piled on the border itself. The same BSF jawans posted on the border in Ramgarh area of Samba sector, after seeing the movement on the border, challenged the person, after which the person stopped and was arrested by the BSF jawans. According to DK Bura, IG, BSF, Jammu Frontier, the intruder who was killed did not stop despite being challenged and forced the BSF to fire. But the second intruder was arrested as soon as he stopped after being challenged. After snowfall in Kashmir Valley, Pakistani infiltrators trying to infiltrate from Jammu. According to the IG of BSF, the management done on the border is such that whatever efforts Pakistan makes, it should be thwarted.
Referring to the incidents that took place in Jammu’s Samba on the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday, the IG of Jammu Frontier, BSF claimed that these are the tactics adopted from across the border so that if this infiltrator is successful, then the terrorists are infiltrated.
