GBMHSS Rajouri hosts mega PTM; constitutes Anti-Drug Club; Installs Nasha Mukt Complaint Box

RAJOURI, APRIL 27: In a strong and meaningful initiative against drug abuse, the Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School Rajouri organized a Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) today with a special focus on awareness, prevention and community participation.

The event witnessed an impressive gathering of hundreds of students along with their parents, while the teaching staff actively contributed to the success of the programme. The PTM served as a powerful platform to build awareness and reinforce the shared responsibility of school and families in safeguarding the future of the youth.

The programme was graced by eminent resource persons — Adv. Ashfaq Ahmed (Former Additional Public Prosecutor), Dr. Ghulam Qadir (Nodal Officer Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Health Department) and social activist and former Councillor Sanjay Sharma — who delivered thought-provoking and awareness-oriented expert lectures. Their insightful addresses highlighted the grave physical, psychological and social consequences of drug abuse, inspiring students and parents alike to remain vigilant and proactive.

A major highlight of the event was the administration of an Anti-Drug Pledge, wherein students and parents collectively resolved to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a drug-free society.

Further strengthening the initiative, the school formed an Anti-Drug Addiction Club, aimed at promoting sustained awareness and student-led action. Additionally, a ‘Nasha Mukt Complaint Box’ was installed within the campus to provide a safe and confidential platform for reporting concerns related to substance abuse.

The programme was highly engaging and impactful having the participation of hundreds of Parents, leaving a deep impression on the participants. Parents lauded the initiative and assured their full cooperation in guiding their wards towards a healthy and purposeful life.

Addressing the gathering, the Principal Mohd.Muslim Wani emphasized that tackling drug addiction requires collective effort, continuous awareness and strong moral guidance. He appreciated the active participation of all stakeholders and urged students to remain focused on their goals and lead a disciplined life.

Earlier Shawls and flower bouquets were presented to the key resource persons as a token of love and remembrance. Proceeding of the program was conducted by Vikrant Sharma.

The event concluded with a Nasha Mukt Pledge and resounding message:

“Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Purposeful Living.”
