Mega health camp benefits 400 people at village Gai Dessa

Under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Doda Krishan Lal, a mega health camp was organised today at village Gai Dessa in Medical Block Ghat. The camp was held under the guidance of Chief Medical Officer Dr Vinod Sharma and the supervision of BMO Dr Abdul Gafoor.

 

The initiative aimed to provide comprehensive healthcare services to residents of remote areas, ensuring quality medical care reaches their doorstep. BMO Dr Abdul Gafoor monitored the conduct of the programme to ensure smooth service delivery.

 

The camp provided general health check-ups, screening for non-communicable diseases, eye consultations, gynecological consultations, tuberculosis screening and on-the-spot ultrasound services. Laboratory investigations, including haemoglobin testing, were also available.

 

The camp received an overwhelming response, with around 400 people availing themselves of medical services. Notably, 30 ultrasound examinations were conducted on-site, providing essential diagnostic support to the remote community.

 

A dedicated team of professionals rendered their services, including Dr Deep Mala, Dr Weqas Majid, Dr Tanveer Ahmed, Dr Touseef Aslam, Dr Madhiha Arjumand, Dr Nasir Masood and Dr Hamid Parray. They were assisted by BM&EO Mashhood Latif, MLHP Dr Toufeeq Aslam, MLHP Dr Vasu Padha, Senior Ophthalmic Technician Raju Kumar, Lab Technician Nishant Chandail, MMPHW Ajay Singh, MMPHW Ashok Shan, MTS Yasir Nabi and MTS Naveen Sharma.

 

Awareness sessions on health, hygiene and various government health programmes were also conducted to encourage healthy practices. This initiative reflects the commitment of the district health administration to ensure accessible and quality healthcare for underserved populations.
