
SRINAGAR, APRIL 28: College Wellbeing and Anti-Substance Cell of Government College of Education (GCoE), M.A. Road, Srinagar, on Monday organised an awareness programme at its auditorium in collaboration with the Nodal Principal, Kashmir Division Colleges, and the District Administration Srinagar.
The programme was held under the theme “From Awareness to Action: Combating Substance Abuse with Community and Police Support,” with the objective of sensitising students and the wider community about the harmful effects of substance abuse and the need for collective action.
Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz, Nodal Principal, Kashmir Division Colleges, served as the patron of the event. Umar Shah, SP Headquarters Srinagar, and Syed Sleet Shah, DySP Headquarters Srinagar, were the key speakers.
Among others who addressed the gathering were Prof. Lateef Shah and Syed Bilquees Alsam Shah.
The speakers underscored the vital role of community participation and coordinated efforts with law enforcement agencies in tackling the growing menace of substance abuse.
The event saw active participation from students, faculty members, and officials, reflecting a shared commitment towards building a drug-free society.
