E-GOVERNANCE CONFERENCE TO AUGMENT DIGITAL INNOVATION
The upcoming national conference on e-governance has a special significance as far as carving out a new India under the ambit of digital revolution is concerned. It is pertinent to mention that the Union Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh will inaugurate a two-day national e-governance conference in Katra on November 26, 2022. This vital platform would provide the much needed push to the employees of the UT of J&K as far as their verve is concerned in the coming time because this meet will give advantage of grooming themselves with the latest innovations available in the digital world and its usage in the e-governance platforms at their doorsteps. It is likely that the national conference on e-governance will change the entire scenario as it will educate the stakeholders about the significance of the digital technology upon which the world will rely on fully after a decade or so. This event will surely help the country in becoming a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. The Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DARPG) and Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) in association with the Jammu and Kashmir administration have been organising the 25th national conference on e-governance (NCeG) on November 26- 27 in Katra. The theme of this conference is ‘Bringing citizens, industry and government closer’. Things which are expected to be taken up in the conference include digital governance, digital economy, strengthening start-up ecosystem and employment generation, modern laws to promote national growth and to secure citizen’s rights.
The conference would provide momentum to the e-governance initiatives across the country, providing opportunities for civil servants and industry captains to showcase their successful interventions in e-governance in improving end-to-end service delivery. As it is being held for the first time in Jammu region, it is quite necessary that the officers of the UT of J&K should take maximum benefit out if it and get their doubts clear, if any, to help in achieving good governance in J&K which is not possible without the e-governance guarantees and a sincere efforts of all the stakeholders.
