
RAJOURI, APRIL 22: Assistant Regional Transport Officer Rajouri Rajesh Gupta carried out a special enforcement drive to ensure strict compliance with road safety norms, with particular focus on the safety of school children.
During the drive, 20 vehicles were seized, including 6 private vehicles found carrying school children in violation of prescribed road safety regulations.
A total of 11 challans were issued against violators for various offences and an amount of ₹1 lakh was realized as fine.
Moreover, 4 driving licenses (D/L) were recommended for suspension due to serious violations.
The Motor Vehicle Department reiterated its commitment to road safety and appealed to the public, especially vehicle owners, to strictly adhere to traffic rules. Such drives will continue in the future to ensure the safety of all road users.
