Two days before Shri Amarnath Yatra, security forces foiled an infiltration attempt from Pakistani side in Jammu division. In the early hours of Monday, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel killed a Pakistani infiltrator in RSpura. As soon as the information was received, the police team reached the spot. The BSF has seized the body and handed it over to the police. The body has been sent for post-mortem.
According to the information, BSF saw an infiltrator from Pakistan side moving towards the country’s border in Bakarpur sector of RSpura. The soldiers asked him to stay there and return to Pakistan, but he continued to move towards Indian territory. Sensing the danger, the soldiers opened fire on him, due to which the intruder died on the spot. He was in black clothes. As of now, the security forces have not recovered any consignment from him. The investigation of security forces and police is going on in the matter.
