DC Rajouri conducts surprise inspection of XEN REW Office, Reviews tendering process

Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today conducted a surprise inspection of the office of the Executive Engineer Rural Engineering Wing (REW), Rajouri, to review the functioning of the department and assess the progress of developmental works and tendering procedures being undertaken in the district.

 

During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner carried out a detailed review of the tendering process and emphasized the need for ensuring complete transparency, accountability and strict adherence to codal formalities at every stage of execution of works.

 

He directed the concerned officers to formulate proper Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and ensure that tenders are floated and allotted within the stipulated timelines so that developmental works are initiated without unnecessary delay. He further stressed that all works should be started promptly and completed within the prescribed timelines to ensure timely public benefit and effective utilization of resources.

 

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed the officers to maintain close monitoring of all ongoing works and ensure that quality standards are strictly maintained during execution.

 

While interacting with the officers and officials, the Deputy Commissioner reiterated the importance of efficient project management, timely completion of works and transparent implementation for strengthening public trust and improving service delivery at the grassroots level.

 

Among others present during the inspection were ACP, Mohd Rafeeq, ACD, Auqil Naveed, Executive Engineer REW Mohammed Rafiq and other district and sectoral officers.
