100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan: DIO Samba organises Nukkad Natak at Chichi Mata Temple

As part of the ongoing 100-Day Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, the Department of Information & Public Relations (DIPR), District Information Office Samba organised a Nukkad Natak (street play) at the historic Chichi Mata Temple, Samba to generate awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and promote a drug-free society.

 

The programme was organised under the directions of Deputy Commissioner Samba Ayushi Sudan and under the supervision of District Information Officer Samba Rahul Gupta.

 

The street play was presented by artists of Saraswati Sangeet Art and Cultural Foundation, Samba, who effectively conveyed the message of drug de-addiction through an engaging and thought-provoking performance. The artists highlighted the social, economic and health-related consequences of substance abuse and emphasised the importance of collective efforts in preventing drug addiction, particularly among the youth.

 

A large number of devotees, locals and visitors present at the temple premises witnessed the performance and appreciated the initiative. The programme served as an effective medium for spreading awareness and encouraging community participation in the fight against drug abuse.

 

The District Information Office reiterated its commitment towards supporting the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan through sustained Information, Education and Communication (IEC) activities across the district.

 

The event concluded with a strong appeal to the public, especially the younger generation, to stay away from drugs and contribute towards building a healthy, prosperous and drug-free Jammu & Kashmir.
