UDHAMPUR, MAY 04: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today released a Dogri video song titled “JAAL Say No to Drugs, Yes to Life” here at an impressive ceremony held in the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
The release function was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Dr. Umesh Shan and other officers.
The song, rendered by budding folk artist Deep Kumar, aims to sensitize the public about the harmful effects of drug abuse and inspire collective efforts towards making Udhampur a drug-free district.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC congratulated the entire production team and lauded the sincere efforts of the young artist. He emphasized that the eradication of the drug menace cannot be achieved by any single individual, but requires a unified and coordinated approach involving all stakeholders.
He urged the public, particularly the youth, to stand firmly against substance abuse and actively contribute towards building a healthy and drug-free society. The DC further reiterated that the District Administration is working in close coordination with all concerned agencies to eliminate the menace from its roots.
