UDHAMPUR, MAY 04: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Minga Sherpa today chaired a meeting to assess the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana–Urban in the district.
The meeting reviewed the status of re-verification and pendency of cases. The Deputy Commissioner took Town-wise review of the scheme’s progress, including the number of approved cases, those pending verification and cases held up due to procedural or documentation issues. He directed the concerned officers to expedite the re-verification of all pending cases and ensure timely clearance so that eligible beneficiaries receive benefits without delay.
Banks were also asked to extend full cooperation for the expeditious disposal of pending cases. Emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts, the Deputy Commissioner called for close synergy among all stakeholders and stressed the need for regular monitoring to ensure the timely clearance of all pending cases under the scheme.
