Census 2027 3-day training for Field Trainers begins in Udhampur

UDHAMPUR, APRIL 28:  District Administration Udhampur (Principal Census Office) in collaboration with the Directorate of Census Operations J&K today commenced a three-day training programme for Field Trainers (FTs) for Phase-I of Census 2027(House Listing and Housing Census).

The programme is being conducted under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner (Principal Census Officer) Minga Sherpa. The resource persons from the Directorate of Census Operations J&K including Nodal Officer Nimrat Kour and District Master Trainer Ashish Kumar Sharma and District Coordinator  Ajit Raj would impart training to the  Field Trainers. The Master Trainers are being equipped to effectively train Enumerators and Supervisors for the smooth conduct of Phase-I of the Census 2027 -House Listing and Housing Census. The emphasis is on ensuring the collection of reliable and accurate data to support the nation’s development.

Addressing the participants, the Principal Census Officer highlighted that Census 2027 shall be conducted in digital mode and underscored the pivotal role of Field Trainers as a vital link between District Census Authorities and Enumerators and Supervisors. He directed the FTs to perform their duties with utmost dedication & enthusiasm and ensure that E&S are trained strictly in accordance with the prescribed training cascade.

The programme is being attended by District Census Officer (ADC)  Prem Singh, Additional District Census Officer DSEO, Darshan Kumar and other officials associated with census operations at the PCO level.
