UDHAMPUR, APRIL 25: The Bharat Scouts and Guides Udhampur today organized an awareness rally themed Our Power, Our Planet to mark the celebration of Earth Day.
Deputy Commissioner Minga Sherpa flagged off the rally from the DC Office Complex consisting of a large number of students and staff members from educational institutions. The rally passed through Slathia Chowk, Court Road, Ramnagar Chowk, Gole Market, Bus Stand and culminated at the Mini Stadium.
Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the urgent need to conserve natural resources and encouraged students to adopt sustainable and eco-friendly practices in their daily lives. He emphasized the vital role of individuals and communities in building a cleaner and healthier environment. Reiterating the importance of energy conservation, he urged everyone to promote the use of renewable energy resources and actively contribute towards safeguarding the planet for future generations.
