
KATHUA, APRIL 16: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rajesh Sharma today conducted an extensive inspection of the works being executed under AMRUT 2.0 across various urban locations in Kathua town to assess progress and ensure adherence to quality and timelines.
The Deputy Commissioner inspected progress of works at Old Sabji Mandi, New Bus Stand, Tara Nagar (Ward No. 13), Kalibari in Upper Shiva Nagar, Lower Shiva Nagar, near KK Birla Park and Waterfront.
Reviewing the status of works, the DC directed the executing agencies to expedite the pace while strictly maintaining quality standards. He emphasized completion of all works within stipulated time frame to ensure timely delivery of improved civic amenities to the public.
Highlighting the significance of AMRUT 2.0 in strengthening urban infrastructure, the DC underscored that the works being undertaken are crucial for augmentation of basic services including water supply, drainage and overall urban development.
He further stressed on taking adequate safety measures at all work sites to safeguard both workers and the general public. The executing agencies were also asked to minimize inconvenience to residents during the course of execution and ensure proper restoration of roads and surroundings after completion of works.
CPO Ranjeet Thakur, XEN PHE Sumesh Hangloo and other concerned officers accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection.
