A Power Development Department (PDD) employee died due to electric shock in apple township of Sopore in this north Kashmir district on Monday, official sources said.
They said a PDD employee identified as Sonaullah Dar got in contact with a live during repair of transmission line at Yaseen Colony, Arampora, Sopore this morning.
Dar received an electric shock, they said adding he was immediately rushed to hospital where he was declared brought dead.
Police has registered a case and initiated proceedings, they said.
