Amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, sanitation is the need of the hour everywhere, Keeping that in mind, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted a surprise inspection of Ward No. – 66 along with Sh. Parshotam Kumar (SO) and his team of Health Officials.
The surprise inspection was conducted on the basis of complaints of the local residents of ward 66. During the inspection, the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor and the officials present at the site discussed the sanitation issues and took view of the other basic amenities. It was noted that there were heaps of garbage on road. The condition of road is very dilapidated. There are pits and ditches on the roads. Lanes and drains are in worst condition.
The Hon’ble Deputy Mayor also took stock of the various problems faced by the general public.
Adv. Purnima Sharma then directed the concerned officials of Jammu Municipal Corporation on spot to sort out the grievances of the public on war footing basis.
Hon’ble Deputy Mayor further requested all the locals of the area to help JMC in maintaining cleanliness and hygienic environment in the city. All the sanitary supervisors were directed strictly to work with full dedication especially in the field & provide best to the expectation of General Public on routine basis.
Adv. Purnima Sharma further appealed to the locals to stay indoors and cooperate with the efforts of Government and Police that are trying their best to stop the further spread of this pandemic.
