To further intensify the Sanitation drive and to avoid spreading of Novel Corona Virus in Jammu City, Chander Mohan Gupta Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation today on 20.03.2020 with Sh. Suneet Kumar Raina Hon’ble Councillor of Ward No: 09, Sh. Shamim Mir, Health Officer, JMC and other Field Staff of Sanitation Wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation & Malaria Department visited at Old Age Home Amphalla, Jammu, distributes Masks, imparts awareness to the Old Person living there regarding COVID – 19.
Apart from this, proper spray of Sodium Hypo Chloride Solution and Thermal fogging were also conducted in and around the Old Age Home. He also requested them to follow the message of Sh. Narinder Modi Hon’ble Prime Minister of India addressed to the Nation as this disease easily affects to children below the age of 10 years as well as Senior Citizens above the age of 65 years, keep social distance as much as possible. Mayor also directed the Sanitation Staff and management of the said Home to maintain proper cleanliness there on routine basis.
Later Mayor also conducted tour of ward No: 44 alongwith S. Inder Singh Sudan Hon’ble Councillor of Ward No: 44 and kick started the construction work of lanes and drains in Swec No: 13 of Nanak Nagar at the estimate cost of Rs. 4.00 Lakhs only. Sh. Arun Gupta Executive Engineer, concerned Junior Engineer, Contractor, S. Manmohan Singh, S. Ravinder Singh, S. Amarjeet Singh, S. Surjeet Singh and other inhabitants were also accompanied the Mayor during the tour as this was the long pending demands of the residents of Sec No: 13. He directed the Engineering wing of Jammu Municipal Corporation to complete the said work within the stipulated time period with quality material and also appeal to the General Public to co-operate with the Jammu Municipal Corporation in development activities as well maintaining better Sanitation in and around their locality, in whole Jammu city, avoid from rumours, do not panic and strictly follow the guidelines of Government which are being taken for protecting their Citizens, Nation and the World from spreading the deadly disease of Novel Corona Virus
