BJP pays tributes to Pt. Prem Nath Dogra in a simple program

J&K BJP remembered Pt. Prem Nath Dogra, popularly known as Sher-e-Duggar, on his death anniversary in a simple way to avoid large gathering, at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.

Pamphlets with instructions on Do’s and Don’ts to avoid Corona virus (Covid 19) infection was also released for distribution to general masses.

Former BJP State President Sat Sharma, former Dy. CM Kavinder Gupta, J&K BJP General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, J&K BJP General Secretaries Dr. Devinder Manyal &  Vibodh Gupta, former MLA Rajesh Gupta, former MLCs Vikram Randhawa & Girdhari Lal Raina and other senior leaders paid floral tributes to Pt. ji.

Sat Sharma, said that Pt. Prem Nath Dogra was a tall leader of J&K who worked for total integration of state with rest of India. Popularly known as Sher-e-Duggar, he was instrumental in forming Jammu Praja Parishad party to raise the voice of Nationalist forces. He told that Pt. ji also served as President of Bharatiya Jana Sangh.

Kavinder Gupta, said that Pt. Ji was equally respected by his opponents as well as he always raised voice for the rights of downtrodden and suppressed. He said that Pt. Ji will always remain a source of inspiration to us. He said that Pt. Ji became a symbol of simplicity and made an impression in the hearts of common masses.

Ashok Kaul, said that while leading the Praja Parishad agitation with the slogan “Ek Vidhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Pradhan” Pt. ji marked an uprising for the common population of the region. He narrated the events which took Dogra Ji to such a high position that he came to be called as “Sher-e-Duggar”.

Kaul, further prompted all the party leaders to strengthen the PM’s mission in the fight against Corona Virus and appealed to the general masses to contribute in success of “Janata Curfew” on 22nd of March. He also appreciated the role played by emergency service providers in the crucial hours.

Dr. Devinder Manyal, said that Pt. Ji’s life was dedicated for the welfare of people cutting across party lines, region, religion and caste. He said that the principles of Pt. Ji carry more significance today after reformation of the J&K and we have to strive hard to create a Nation of his visionary mission.

Vibodh Gupta, said that today the tributes to the great leader are being paid in real sense after abrogation of Article 370. He emphasized on the high morality and standards while following the great path shown by Pandit ji.

Rajesh Gupta, said that Pandit ji always depicted true sportsman spirit. He said that every year party organizes a football tournament in order to emphasize on his fair values.

Vikram Randhawa, threw light on historical facts leading to the formation of Praja Parishad and the incidents afterwards.

Kulbhushan Mohtra, threw light on Pt. ji’s contribution in Praja Parishad Andolan and later the turn of events that took his legacy forward.

Arvind Gupta, Balbir Ram Rattan, Tilak Raj Gupta, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Sanjita Dogra, Prem Gupta, Vinay Gupta, Varinderjit Singh, Kulbhushan Mohtra, Puran Chand, Subhash Gupta. Rakesh Sangral, Brijesh Gupta and others were among the prominent BJP leaders who paid floral tributes to the great leader.
