Today on 19/03/2020, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Hon’ble Deputy Mayor flagged off the manual fogging in ward no. 1 as a preventive measure against this coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19).
Coronavirus pandemic is an ongoing global outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), an novel infectious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).
The initiative was initiated in ward no. 1 by Hon’ble Deputy Mayor in collaboration with the Health Department as this will lower the chances of spreading COVID-19 as there will be spraying of medicine/presticides in the air in order to kill the COVID-19.Manual spraying was initiated in different lanes of ward no. 1 for the welfare of the local public.
Deputy Mayor also urged the locals to stay indoors and not participate in large gatherings or crowded places as it will increase the chance of spreading this apedemic.
With the current outbreak of the novel coronavirus, Deputy Mayor appealed to keep all the frequently touched household surfaces like door handles, phones, mobiles, remotes, etc germ free.
Adv. Purnima Sharma, Deputy Mayor further asked the locals to Wash your hands frequently, Maintain social distancing, Wash your hand frequently, avoid touching eyes, nose and mouth, practice respiratory hygiene and if you have fever, cough and difficulty breathing, seek medical care immediately as all this preventive measures and help in stopping the spread of this Coronavirus pandemic.
Health Officer, Dr. Shamim along with his team of Sanitation Supervisors and Inspectors, Officials from Health Department, Smt. ShubhLata Sharma, Smt. Anuradha Sharma, Smt. Sukh Devi, Smt. Kamla, Smt Rajni, Smt. Neha, Smt. Vandana, Smt. Santosh Kumari, Smt. Guddi Devi and other prominent members of the ward were also present along with Deputy Mayor.
