Denied entry into India, UK MP Debbie Abrahams lands in Pakistan; her link with ISI-backed group surfaces

Debbie Abrahams, the UK opposition member of the British Parliament, arrived in Pakistan on Wednesday, two days after she was denied entry into India.

While addressing a press conference alongside Debbie Abrahams, Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi today said that the UK MP will not be provided with the same treatment in his country as she got in New Delhi.

Abrahams has been a critic of the Indian government’s act of abrogating Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir. Notably, senior Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi had yesterday tweeted that Abrahams’ deportation was necessary as she is a Pakistan proxy. He had further said that the British MP was on her way to Pakistan from India.

“The deportation of Debbie Abrahams by India was indeed necessary, as she is not just an MP, but a Pak proxy known for her clasp with Pak govt and ISI. Every attempt that tries to attack India’s sovereignty must be thwarted,” Singhvi had said on Twitter.
