Amit inspects ICU & Critical Care Wards in Super Specialty Hospital

Amit Sharma, Administrator, Government Medical College and Associated Hospitals Jammu while continuing with his streak of surprise inspections today conducted a thorough checking of Critical Care Wards of Government Super Speciality Hospital Jammu to oversee the functioning of equipment, presence of para medical staff, cleanliness apart from holding interaction with patients admitted here.
Administrator GMC & Associated Hospitals Amit Sharma today afternoon took a all-of-a-sudden round of all floors of the Super Specialty Hospital but he was very particular to see the arrangements and facilities inside various Critical Care Wards, Dialysis Ward and Cath Labs, Intensive Care Unit and related wards of the Super Speciality Hospital wherein various specialised disciplines like Heart, Neuro Surgery, Nephrology, Neurology, etc are functional.
Apart from this, Administrator Amit Sharma also held a direct interaction with Cardiology Heads Dr Sushil Sharma, Dr Sanjeev Bhat, Dr Dharmender and Nephrology Dr Aman apart from holding healthy interaction with patients who are undergoing treatment in different wards here in order to get first hand feedback about the services being provisioned here and noted down the challenging areas. He assured patients who met him with the best healthcare during the period of their admission here and more improvisations towards same in future.
Administrator Amit Sharma directed Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Deepak who was accompanying him in this inspection tour to ensure that all the Critical Wards have fully functional machinery and equipment as it is directly related with the saving of lives of patients who visit here from all nooks and corners of the Union Territory with hopes of speedy recovery and expectations from this top specialty institute.
Amit appreciated the cleanliness and improvement in work culture shown by para medical staff in last couple of months and expected total professionalism from all including doctors, supervisory staff, security and all night shift workers in times to come. He also directed Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr Deepak Kumar to ensure maintenance of extra vigil and care especially during evening and night hours and senior doctors must take a night round to assure best treatment to IPD patients.
Before culminating the surprise check, Administrator Amit Sharma also advised that proper dress code must be maintained by doctors and para medical staff and Special OPD arrangements must be done for efficient Queue Management in Super Speciality Hospital till automated Online OPD comes into operation, as lot of people visit here everyday for getting medical treatment here.
