He conducted a comprehensive review of updation of Jamabandis and digitisation of revenue records – aimed at achieving their purification and improving public service delivery – being conducted on mission mode in the district.

It was informed that Jamabandis of 99 out of 137 villages have been completed so far. It was said that the current achievement is up from 33 revenue villages whose Jamabandis was completed upto March last year.

On the occasion he sanctioned 30 lakh rupees for acquiring additional equipment including computers with UPS units and furniture for digitisation purposes at the Central Record Room. The sanctioning of the amount is aimed at enabling fast-tracking of quality checks and the overall records scanning process.

Dr Shahid also commended the local educated youth hired for technical work for their excellent job. He announced fortnightly cash awards of 10000, 5000 and 3000 rupees for best preforming officials and technical staff hired for the job.
