Principal Secretary Transport Department, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon today reviewed the progress on upcoming projects of Transport Department here in a meeting.
Director General Finance, Mahesh Dass Sharma; Assistant Commissioner Transport, Swarn Singh; Special Secretary of Transport Department, Rahul Sharma; Technical Officer National Informatics Centre (NIC) and other officers of Transport Department were present in the meeting.
Dr Samoon directed the Transport Department to provide prescribed concession to disabled persons on purchase of new vehicles as per the guidelines of the Supreme Court.
Later, Dr Samoon chaired a meeting of the senior officers of Motor Vehicles Department of Kashmir and Jammu divisions to review the progress on the construction of Institute of Driving, Training and Research (IDTR) and ICC Kashmir/Jammu and Transport Bhawan at Bemina Kashmir.
While reviewing the ongoing construction works, Dr Samoon stressed upon the concerned authorities to complete these projects in a time bound manner.
