
DODA, APRIL 15: The District Administration Doda is planning for a major awareness event under the aegis of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan(NMBA) expected to be attended by VVIP.
In this regard, a comprehensive meeting was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal. The meeting focused on finalizing arrangements and ensuring the smooth conduct of the event.
The DC also reviewed the detailed action plan prepared for the VVIP visit, with emphasis on coordinated efforts among all departments.
Threadbare discussions were held on key arrangements, including stage decoration, seating arrangements, green rooms, drinking water supply, uninterrupted power supply with generator backup and overall venue management.
The Police and Traffic Departments were asked to ensure foolproof security arrangements, traffic regulation and smooth movement during the event.
Special focus was laid on awareness and public outreach activities, including organizing a padyatra and nukkad natak to promote the message of a drug-free society.
The Cultural Department and Chief Education Officer were directed to finalize cultural items, including recitation of the national song and national anthem, with active participation from school students.
The District Information Officer was tasked with media coordination, installation of LED displays, publicity, banners, flex posters and public address systems.
The Social Welfare Department was directed to arrange caps and shirts depicting the Nasha Mukt campaign, while all departments were instructed to appoint nodal officers for effective coordination.
The PWD was tasked with managing stage setup and infrastructure, while the PHE and PDD Departments were tasked to ensure adequate water and power supply. The Fire and Emergency Services Department was directed to deploy fire tenders and the Health Department was asked to ensure the availability of ambulances and medical support.
The meeting was attended by ADC Anil Kumar Thakur; ACR Ashraf Pervez;; District Programme Officer ICDS Akhtar Hussain Qazi; CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas ACD Din Mohd Afaqi SE PWD; ACP; CEO BDA Sanjeev Verma; CEO, district officers, DYSP Headquarters, DYSP Traffic and representatives from the Health Department, Fire & Emergency Services and other concerned departments.
