Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari often remains in news for his proactive approach in fortifying the roads, highways and also doing things to provide succor to people who in way or other commute using surface transport. This approach of Gadkari is praiseworthy and other ministries should also take a cue from his style of working. Other issues on which the Highways Minister has laid stress are of the same significance and if the things will be carried out in the way the minister has been suggesting there is no chance of accidents on the roads. Other things which should be taken care of include rectification of black spots, widening of roads, provision of ambulance and trauma care facilities on national highways, GPS system to alert drivers, maintenance and repair of roads and need to impart driving training. With all these proposals and an amazing track record of pacing up highways construction in the country, Gadkari is rendering yeoman’s service to countrymen and is proving to be a man with a vision and a mission.
