Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) Lt Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that a discussion on Sopore incident should be taken up some other day, today being a happy occasion as the government has announced a historic mega economic package of Rs 1350 for reviving the ailing business sector.
”Let us discuss only development as today is a very happy day”, he told a reporter who asked a question about the Sopore killing of a youth whose body was recovered hours after his arrest by police.
”Let us talk about it on some other occasion. It is happy day as the government is providing historic support to business, trade and industry which is necessary for peace and prosperity in the UT,” he added.
The body of 23-year-old Irfan Ahmad Dar was recovered hours after his arrest from his house in Sopore in Baramulla on Tuesday.
