Vice Chairman LCMA reviews functioning of STPs at Brari Numbal, Nallah Amir Khan

SRINAGAR, MAY 09: Vice Chairman, J&K Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (JKLCMA), Khurshid Ahmad Shah today visited the Sewage Treatment Plants (STPs) at Brari Numbal and Nallah Amir Khan to assess their operational efficiency and functioning.

 

During the visit, the Vice Chairman inspected the 16.1 MLD STP at Brari Numbal and the 5.4 MLD STP at Nallah Amir Khan, both commissioned by JKLCMA.

 

Officials informed the Vice Chairman that both the plants are based on

 

MBR Technology aimed at ensuring effective sewage treatment and improved environmental management.

 

While reviewing the functioning of the plants, Khurshid Ahmad Shah stressed the need for sustained efforts towards environmental conservation and efficient sewage treatment management to protect water bodies and maintain ecological balance in the region.

 

He also directed the concerned officials to ensure smooth operation and regular monitoring of the plants for achieving optimum performance and adherence to environmental standards.
