At least 28 shops, residential houses closed in Ramban

At least 28 shops and a residential house were gutted in a devastating fire broke out in a village of Ramban district in Jammu and Kashmir.
The fire broke out late on Friday night.
“As per initial reports, 28 shops and a residential house have gutted in the fire in main market of Khari in Banihal Sub Division,” Nazim Zai Khan, Deputy Commissioner Ramban here told UNI on Saturday.
He said that teams of fire fighters and fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames.
The DC said that the cause of fire is being ascertained, adding, “no human injury reported and more details are awaited.”
Mr Khan, who himself was heading towards the spot further said that the losses are being assessed.
