A review meeting of Legal Aid Defense Counsels (LADCs) was held today at the Office of Secretary, DLSA Jammu, chaired by Maleeka Sharma, Sub-Judge/Secretary, DLSA Jammu.
The meeting was attended by LADCs under DLSA Jammu.
The Secretary reviewed their performance, focusing on the quality of legal representation provided to beneficiaries, timely submission of reports and the status of pending cases. She emphasized the importance of dedicated legal support and maintaining effective communication with clients to ensure justice is served.
Directions were issued to LADCs to ensure prompt appearance in courts, adherence to case timelines, maintain detailed records of cases handled for effective case management and sensitize beneficiaries about their rights and the legal aid process.
