
On the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, a large gathering of the Muslim community offered special Eid prayers at Eidgah Doda. The congregational prayers were led by the Imam of Jamia Masjid Doda and witnessed the presence of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Doda, Krishan Lal, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Doda, Kartik Shrotriya, Additional Deputy Commissioner Doda, Anil Kumar Thakur, besides other senior officers from the civil and police administration.
DC Doda, SSP Doda and ADC Doda interacted with religious leaders and members of the public and extended warm greetings on the auspicious occasion. They conveyed their heartfelt wishes for peace, prosperity, happiness and well-being to the people of the district.
The officers highlighted the spiritual significance of Eid-ul-Adha and said that the festival symbolizes sacrifice, compassion, brotherhood and devotion to humanity. They noted that Eid inspires people to strengthen the values of harmony, mutual respect and social unity.
Deputy Commissioner Doda, Krishan Lal, appreciated the people of Doda for reflecting the district’s rich tradition of communal harmony, brotherhood and peaceful coexistence. He lauded the spirit of unity and togetherness displayed by the people and expressed hope that these values would continue to strengthen the social fabric of the district.
SSP Doda, Kartik Shrotriya stressed the importance of maintaining peace, communal harmony and cooperation in society. He appreciated the public for their continued support in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere and urged people to uphold the values of unity and collective responsibility.
Sweets were also distributed among the people as part of the celebrations, adding to the festive spirit and joy of the occasion.
Similar Eid prayers were also offered at various Eidgahs and mosques across different parts of the district, where devotees gathered in large numbers to celebrate the festival with religious fervour and devotion.
