
Eid-ul-Azha was celebrated across Kishtwar district with deep religious devotion, joy and in an atmosphere of peace and harmony.
Thousands of devotees gathered at mosques to offer Namaz-e-Eid, praying for peace, prosperity and the overall development of Kishtwar and the Union Territory.
Comprehensive arrangements including security and logistical measures were meticulously organized by the district and police administration to ensure the smooth and safe observance of the festival, especially at the Eidgah Chowgan Ground, where around 18000 to 20000 people congregated to perform Namaz-e-Eid.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police, Naresh Singh were present on the occasion and personally oversaw the implementation of the arrangements.
ADC Kishtwar, Pawan Kotwal along with other senior officers from the Civil Administration, Police and CRPF were also present on the occasion.
They extended warm Eid greetings to the Muslim community and joined in prayers for enduring peace, unity, communal harmony and brotherhood throughout the district and the Union Territory.
