PCCF felicitates Winners of Forest Photography Competition

SRINAGAR, MAY 04: Principal Chief Conservator Forests (PCCF)/ Head of Forest Force (HoFF), J&K,  Sarvesh Rai felicitated the participants of Inaugural Forest Photography Competition organized by the Planning and Publicity Division of Jammu and Kashmir Forest Department.

Launched by the J&K Forest Department, the initiative was designed to document the rich ecological heritage of the region and encourage field staff to actively record biodiversity, landscapes, People and forest sceneries.

Speaking at the event, Sarvesh Rai emphasized that the competition serves a dual purpose: showcasing the unparalleled beauty of Jammu and Kashmir’s forests to the world and fostering a culture of conservation and observation among forest frontline staff.

The competition saw enthusiastic participation from across the departments. Top honors were awarded to Abdul Qayoom Sofi (Birds), Amir Shafi Rather (Landscape), and Hilal Ahmad Malik (Wildlife, People and Forest-life) for their exceptional photographic documentation of the region’s diverse ecosystem.
