Intensive NMBA Awareness Campaign conducted in Thathri

THATHRI, MAY 04: An awareness campaign under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) was conducted today in the rural and municipal areas of Thathri. A mobile van mounted with a Public Address System generated awareness among the public about the harmful effects of substance abuse and to promote a drug-free society.

The mobile awareness van started from the local Community Health Centre(CHC) and covered the entire market area along with adjoining localities and rural pockets before returning back. Throughout the campaign, audio announcements and awareness messages were disseminated to educate people about the adverse impact of drug addiction on health, family life and society.

The programme was organized under the supervision of the Block Medical Officer Dr Shakeel Ahmed Kichloo and guidance of CMO Dr Tanveer Ahmed Rather. The Block Nodal Officer NMBA accompanied the mobile van team during the entire awareness to ensure proper execution and supervision of activities.

The campaign received a positive response from the public and contributed significantly to spreading awareness among people of all age groups. Such initiatives are essential for strengthening community participation and achieving the goal of a drug-free society.
