
KULGAM, APRIL 30: Training programme for Enumerators and Supervisors for Census 2027 was today kick-started in Kulgam by Principal Census Officer (PCO) (Deputy Commissioner), Shahzad Alam here at Mini-Secretariat.
The programme is aimed at equipping field functionaries with the necessary skills and knowledge for accurate, efficient, and error-free data collection during the upcoming Census.
Enumerators and Supervisors from across the district are participating in training sessions.
Speaking on the occasion, the PCO stressed the need to maintain the highest standards of accuracy, transparency, and strict adherence to prescribed guidelines during the enumeration process.
He further emphasized that well-trained field staff are essential to ensuring the credibility and reliability of Census data.
Participants were sensitized on the use of digital tools, modern data collection techniques, and ways to effectively address field-level challenges.
The training programme also includes detailed sessions on the roles and responsibilities of Enumerators and Supervisors, data validation procedures, and the importance of maintaining confidentiality of collected information.
The programme will continue over the coming days, focusing on strengthening the capacity of field staff for the smooth and successful conduct of Census 2027 in the district.
