
JAMMU, APRIL 17: Director Agriculture Jammu (DAJ) Anil Gupta, along with Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Sanjay Anand today visited the Seed Multiplication (S.M.) Farm Lamberi in District Rajouri and conducted a detailed inspection of the ongoing agricultural activities at the facility.
The Director inspected the progress of ongoing developmental works, farm operations, with focus on cropping patterns, seed production activities and the agricultural practices being followed. He assessed the status of seasonal crops and emphasized the importance of adopting improved and scientific methods of cultivation to enhance productivity and maintain quality standards in seed multiplication.
The Director also reviewed the utilization of available land resources and stressed the need for optimal planning to maximize output from the farm. He interacted with the ADO (Vegetables), Rajinder Singh Salathia and field staff seeking feedback on the progress of ongoing works. He directed the concerned officers to ensure timely execution of all farm activities and effective implementation of departmental programmes at the grassroots level.
Earlier, the Director also visited Sub-Division Akhnoor and chaired a review meeting to assess the physical and financial progress of the ongoing departmental schemes.
