
REASI, APRIL 15: As a part of 100 Day Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, a Yoga and Wellness-focused awareness program and Medical camp was organised today at Government Polytechnic College Reasi.
The event was organised by AYUSH, Health and Social welfare Department to promote health awareness and encourage a healthy lifestyle among students.
The program began with a welcome address by Principal of the College Dr.Arun Bangotra, who motivated the students to stay away from drugs and emphasized the college’s resolve to continue the campaign’s objectives.
District Nodal officer AYUSH Dr. Kamal Kishore Dubey highlighted the importance of wellness and healthy living.
The health check-up and medical session was conducted by Dr. Sonal Bhola, Medical Officer AYUSH. The yoga session was conducted by Majid Malik (Yoga Instructor, AYUSH), who guided the students in performing various asanas.
Further, Pankaj Kumar (Medical Assistant) and Nadeem Khan (Pharmacist) from AYUSH, besides Shuruchi Sharma from Social Welfare Department also shared valuable insights on health and wellness. A speech on mental well-being was delivered by Er. Rajesh Kumar Banotra (Superintendent, ITI). Dr. Bilal Ahmed from District Hospital emphasized the importance of maintaining good health. A motivational speech on Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan was delivered by Yograj Mengi, senior citizen.
The participants, including students and staff, took a Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan pledge reaffirming their commitment to stay away from drugs and contribute towards a drug-free society. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approx 270 students and staff, making it a successful and impactful initiative.
