KUPWARA, APRIL 15: Additional Deputy Commissioner, (ADC), Handwara, Javed Naseem Masoodi today chaired a review meeting to finalize arrangements for the upcoming mega rally/Padyatra being organized under the Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan ( NMBA) scheduled on 17 April 2026.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held regarding various logistical and administrative arrangements to ensure the smooth and successful conduct of the rally. Emphasis was laid on coordinated efforts among all concerned departments for effective execution of the programme.
The ADC directed the officers to ensure adequate arrangements for transportation, security, medical facilities, drinking water, and sanitation. He also stressed the importance of widespread awareness and active participation of students, youth, civil society members, and the general public to make the rally impactful.
The ADC reiterated the commitment of the administration to eradicate drug abuse and urged all stakeholders to work collectively to make the mega rally a grand success and to spread a strong message against substance abuse across the sub-division Handwara.
The meeting was attended by Principal GDC Handwara,Tehsildar Handwara, Block Development officer Nutnussa, Dy SP HQ Handwara, DSP Traffic Kupwara, Principals of BHSS Handwara and GHSS Handwara, Medical Superintendent Associated District Hospital, GMC Handwara; Block Medical officer Handwara, Zonal Education officer Handwara, Zonal Physical officers of Handwara, Langate and Mawer and representative of Municipal Committee Handwara.
