
BARAMULLA, APRIL 4: A three-day training programme for Charge Officers for Phase-I of Census 2027 (House Listing and Housing Census – HLO) commenced today at the DC Office Baramulla at the main meeting hall of DC office Baramulla.
The programme is being organized by the Principal Census Officer (Deputy Commissioner) Baramulla under the aegis of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, and Directorate of Census Operations, J&K.
The training is being conducted under the supervision of Arun Kumar, Joint Director/Joint Chief Principal Census Officer (DCO), J&K and Ladakh. Rohini Pokharel and Vijay Kumar, Assistant Directors/Nodal Officers, Harishchandra Chauhan and Vikash Kumar, District Coordinating Officers, Baramulla also took part in the training programme.
The programme, scheduled for April 3, 4, and 7, 2026, is being attended by District, Sub-Divisional and Additional Charge Officers of Baramulla district. During the training, participants are being sensitized about their roles and responsibilities in the upcoming national wide census exercise.
Interactive sessions and practical demonstrations were conducted to ensure effective understanding of the House Listing and Housing Census operations.The initiative aims to ensure smooth and efficient conduct of Phase-I of Census 2027 across the district.
