Will the Russia-Ukraine War Lead to World War III? US President Trump’s Threat

US President Donald Trump has warned that the Russia-Ukraine war could escalate into a “Third World War.” He said that more than 25,000 people, mostly soldiers, have been killed in the past month.

Trump said he is trying to end the war immediately, but is disappointed by Russia and Ukraine’s withdrawal. Reiterating his push for an immediate end to hostilities, he said, “I want the killing to stop. 25,000 soldiers were killed last month. I want to see it stop. And we’re working very hard.” Trump Warns of a Third World War
He continued, “These kinds of things lead to a Third World War. And I said that the other day. I said, ‘Everyone keeps playing these games. We’ll end up in a Third World War,’ and we don’t want to see that happen.”

Trump is very frustrated – Carolyn Levitt
Earlier, White House Press Secretary Carolyn Levitt also stated that the President is deeply frustrated with the slow progress on a ceasefire with both Moscow and Kyiv and is not willing to meet just for the sake of meeting.

Levitt said that Trump is “tired of meetings that achieve nothing” and wants results, not talk, as the US is acting as the main mediator to end the four-year war.

She said, “The President is very frustrated with both sides of this war. He is tired of meetings just for the sake of meeting. He doesn’t want any more talk. He wants action. He wants this war to end.”

US Offers Aid to Ukraine
Trump has also stated that the US would be willing to provide assistance to Ukraine as part of a security agreement to end the war with Russia. Nevertheless, he expressed disappointment that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not readily sign off on the US peace plan, increasing pressure on officials in Kyiv, who had pushed back on an earlier US proposal that was seen as too accommodating to Moscow.

His remarks came after Zelenskyy hinted at allowing Ukrainians to vote on handing over the Donbas region to Russia. The Kremlin has insisted that Ukraine withdraw its troops from eastern areas, including the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, which Russian forces have not captured in their nearly four-year offensive.
