Congress gear up for LS elections, appoints coordinators for 5 seats of J&K

Ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, the Congress party has announced coordinators for five LS seats of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory.

Details reveal that Congress today appointed Ghulam Nabi Monga (Baramulla seat), Abdul Rashid Dar (Srinagar), Yogesh Sawhney (Anantnag-Rajouri), Ravinder Sharma (Udhampur) and Naresh Gupta (Jammu) as coordinators for the polls.

In the last Lok Sabha, the National Conference won all three seats in Kashmir, defeating the Peoples Conference in Baramulla, the Peoples Democratic Party and the Congress in Anantnag. In the polls, the PDP had finished third in the Anantnag Lok Sabha segment. BJP won both seats of the Jammu division
