There is no doubt that J&K being a sensitive region for the last over three decades has attained a level of security edifice which is at par with international standards as the security agencies working in the Union Territory including the Jammu and Kashmir Police have the wide ranging experience and expertise in handling any kind of threat or danger. The statement by the Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha that adequate security arrangements have been made for the Bharat Jodo Yatra (BJY) led by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the administration will facilitate it smoothly could be taken as true to hilt because for such events the security agencies in J&K need not to do anything extraordinary because it is part and parcel of their regular routine as in the last many decades the region has witnessed many occasions when such Bandobasts were made to ensure safe passage to VVIPs like Rahul Gandhi. As the Republic Day is also ensuing the security has already on tenterhooks in J&K and any lethargy is out of question. If the head of the UT has asserted that there is nothing to worry about security for Bharat Jodo Yatra, it really means that things are in place and adequate measures have been taken to ensure an incident free Yatra. Jammu and Kashmir Police is a disciplined and brave organization having decades long experience of providing the failsafe security to important personalities therefore people can rely on the men in khaki in J&K although there are hundreds of other personnel from belt forces assisting the police to ensure that no untoward incident took place during the Bharat Jodo Yatra or the functions being organized on account of upcoming Republic Day, falling on January 26, 2023In nutshell, any apprehension over security to Bharat Jodo Yatra is needless and unfounded because Union Territory has everything required to ensure safety and security of those taking part in this event organised by the Congress party which is likely to cover major parts of the country starting from Lakhanpur to Srinagar.
