Jammu and Kashmir: Three killed in two separate road accidents

Three people died in two separate road accidents in Jammu division on Thursday morning. Out of these, one accident happened in Reasi and one in Ramban. Three bodies have been recovered. In both the cases, the respective district police are probing.

According to information, a car went uncontrolled and fell into a gorge 350 feet below in Hamso village of Chasana area of Reasi this morning. Manjit Singh (32) and Gurbaksh (27) died in the accident. Police said the bodies of both have been retrieved and will be handed over to their families for the last rites after completing legal formalities.

Meanwhile, one person was killed in another accident near Kela More in Ramban district on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. A cab fell into a deep gorge here this morning at around 7.15 am. Cab driver Mudassir Ahmad Langno (37), a resident of Dalgate area of Srinagar, was killed in the accident. The officer told that he was going to Jammu. Police investigation is on in both the cases.

This is the fourth accident in Ramban in the last three days. The news of road accidents are coming to the fore in the state amid the cold weather. Officials said to follow the traffic rules while traveling. Be more careful while traveling in fog and hilly areas. There is a need to be more vigilant and vigilant on the road in the changing season. So that every citizen can reach his destination safely.
