Kashmir: Two overground workers of Lashkar arrested in Shopian before target killing, arms and ammunition recovered

Police have claimed to have arrested two terrorist associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Keller area of ​​Shopian district of South Kashmir. It is being said that these two terrorist associates were assigned the task of target killing. Before these two could carry out any attack, the police arrested both of them in time. Police have recovered a huge quantity of arms and ammunition from both the arrested overground workers. Police is interrogating both.

A senior police officer said that on the basis of information, Shopian Police along with Army and CRPF personnel conducted a search operation in Keller area. During this search operation, the security forces caught both these people. They have been identified as Gauhar Manzoor Bhat and Abid Hussain Nanda, both residents of Drabgam Pulwama. It is being told that both these over ground workers were assigned the task of target killing in their area. For this, they have been given arms and some cash. On search, a pistol, a hand grenade, 10 rounds and Rs 60,000 were recovered from them.

Whom were these two going to target under Target Killing. There is no information about this. The police has not officially shared any information in this regard. Both are being questioned. In the preliminary interrogation, both of them have admitted that they work for the Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorist organization.

Sources say that these two people living in Pulwama, where they met in Shopian, from where they got these weapons and cash, it is being ascertained. Based on this inquiry, the overground worker network run by Lashkar-e-Taiba in Shopian will be busted. Police will share information in this regard only after the investigation process is over.
