Infiltration reduced, stone pelting ended in Valley: J&K DGP

DGP Dilbag Singh said that the incidents of infiltration from across the border have come down drastically. After Rajori, Poonch infiltration was foiled in Baramulla and Kupwara and some terrorists were killed. Stone pelting has also ended in the valley.

Talking to the media at an event organized in the Valley, he said that the weather is changing. It becomes difficult to come from that side in further cold and snowfall, due to which Pakistan is trying to send more and more terrorists to this side at this time. The security personnel sitting on our border are fully prepared to stop the infiltration. Despite this, some infiltrators came across this and many were also killed. Search is on for many terrorists. On the killing of more than 40 foreign terrorists this year, Dilbagh Singh said that most of the Lashkar and Jaish terrorists are commanded by Pakistan. It is our endeavor to stop the external terrorists who harm the people of Jammu and Kashmir and lead the youth towards terror. He said that we have information that some terrorists have infiltrated this side from Pakistan, whose search is on.

On the question of getting IEDs at many places in Jammu, he said that this is a well-planned conspiracy of Pakistan. Now readymade IEDs are being used by Pakistan. Similar IEDs are being used in Jammu as well, but they were recovered before they were used. He said that now stone pelting has ended in the valley. The people of the valley have come to know that stone pelting harms its own people and all the credit goes to the people of the valley.
