J&K: Five houses used in terrorist activities attached in Srinagar

Tightening the crackdown on terrorist and separatist elements, the police on Thursday attached five houses in the summer capital. These houses have been used for terrorist and separatist activities. Police spokesman said that the houses of Babar Suhail Sofi resident of Lavepora, Adil Mehmed Lone resident of Bazar Mohalla Lavepora and Khurshid Ahmed Mir resident of Malura have been attached. A case was registered against them at Parimpora police station only last year.

The terrorists of Lashkar and Hizbul Mujahideen had made their hideouts in these houses. Apart from Abdul Majeed Ganai in Firdousabad, Batmaloo, the house of Abdul Rehman Butt in Darbagh Harwan has been attached. Abdul Rehman’s son is involved in terrorist activities and several terror attacks have been planned in his house. A police spokesman said that the police, in their investigation, found that not only did terrorists stay in these houses, but conspiracy to carry out terrorist attacks inside the city of Srinagar was also hatched in these houses.
