WHY BAN?

WHY BAN?

It is intriguing that despite Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeal to the people of the country over stopping the use of single-use plastic, no factory, no distributor, no shopkeeper, no individual in the country voluntarily shunned the use of this most dangerous item thus leading to prohibition of the same on July 1, 2022. The point to ponder is that the PM has asked the concerned authorities to impose ban but if the people at the first place have decided to shun the use of this kind of plastics, there would have been no need to ban these products which have the potential to even wipe out life from the only livable planet on the universe. For shunning the use of single-use plastic there is no need of any rocket science, rather people have to peep into the life which used to exist a few decades ago when the plastics never existed. People can turn to wooden alternatives, paper, cotton clothes, mud to carry on with the business which presently is taken over by the deadly plastics. Now, when the government has decided to stop manufacturing, storing, distributing and using the single-use plastics, the best thing the people can do is not to find ways to dodge those who are on job to implement this ban because by doing this, they will not only cheat the government but the upcoming generations also because use of plastics is affecting the habitability of earth by poisoning the environment especially aquatic and surface soil. Still there is time for the people to think over the issue with a pragmatic mindset and immediately shun this kind of plastics to ensure longevity of the planet earth which has been inflicted with irreparable losses by the extensive use of plastic products. Already there are many kinds of remedies available for the people to get rid of this scourge (Plastics) from their lives. It needs only change in mindset to shun the use of plastics as easy go culture has already caused much damage to environment and the society cannot afford more therefore the right thing will be to put a full stop on the use of plastics, especially the items specified in the aforesaid prohibition, which came into existence yesterday.
