Former IGP Traffic Basant Rath, who is in the news for his different style, has written on Twitter that if anything untoward happens to him, then Director General of Police Dilbag Singh will be responsible for it. At the same time, in another tweet, he has sought permission from the BJP high command to contest elections against former chief ministers Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti.
Basant Rath wrote on the social networking site Twitter- ‘Friends, if anything bad happens to my reputation and security, IPS officer Dilbag Singh (Son of Balbir Singh), who is the police chief in J&K, Will be responsible for this.
At the same time, in another tweet, he wrote- ‘If the BJP high command allows me, I will contest against Omar Abdullah, who was my Chief Minister when I was the Police Chief in Jammu and against Mehbooba Mufti, who was my Chief Minister when I was the traffic police chief in Jammu and Kashmir.
