As the President of India Ram Nath Kovind has batted for going more deep into the secrets of the Ayurveda, it becomes necessary that this flawless Indian Science should be explored to extremity so that people of the country could fetch maximum benefit of the same. The President’s assertion that there is a need to promote research in Ayurveda as there is no alternative to this medical system so far in rural parts of the country is concerned is true to the hilt and therefore the advice needs to be taken as most urgent because under present government things are in favour of this ancient benevolent science and it is the moral obligation of all the concerned to do justice with this system of life which has no reported drawbacks. It is time to work towards boosting research, documentation and validation in the field and make this Indian medical system popular.
During the testing times of COVID-19 pandemic Ayurveda saved many lives. It is time to embrace Ayurveda once again believing in its veracity because it being one of the world’s oldest holistic healing systems which proved to be the panacea during epidemic time and also under normal situation with the benefit of no side effects, which makes it different from all other existing medical systems across the world. It would not be an exaggeration if one says that the need of time is that people should come back to their roots through Ayurveda and ensure longevity supplemented with good health. The essence of Ayurveda has remained uniquely distinct and it has stood the test of time because reportedly the history of the system of life is over 3000 years old with no adverse results reported at any point of time. It is the time that people should show faith in this oriental way of healing the body and creating a harmonious mind to enable them to fight pressures of life in this materialistic world of cut throat competition. The advice by the President needs to be taken very seriously as life should be meaningful, peaceful and contented. Ayurveda has many constituents which have the potential to achieve the aforesaid as given in the religious epics therefore making it imperative for one and all to take refuge into this system meant for healing body, mind and soul.
