Baramulla Encounter: Three Pakistani terrorists of Jaish-e-Mohammed killed in Baramulla encounter, one jawan sacrificed


Three Pakistani terrorists have been killed in an ongoing encounter between security forces and terrorists in Kareri area of ​​district Baramulla. However, a jawan of Jammu and Kashmir Police has also been martyred in this encounter. The bodies of the three terrorists have been taken by the security forces. Not only this, a huge quantity of arms and ammunition have also been recovered from the encounter site.

Confirming the killing of three Pakistani terrorists, IGP Vijay Kumar said that all three were linked to the terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed. Not only this, he was active in this area for the last 3-4 months. The police came to know about this and from that day we were tracking them. IGP said that so far this year we have killed 22 Pakistani terrorists. The slain terrorists have been identified as Hanif, Ali Bhai and Shah Wali, all residents of Pakistan.
The encounter started this morning in Kareri area of ​​Baramulla, police said. After receiving information about the sighting of terrorists in the area, a joint team of SOG, Army and CRPF reached the area. While cordoning off the area, the security forces started searching for the terrorists. As the security personnel reached near Najibhat crossroads while conducting searches, the terrorists hiding there started firing on them. A Jammu and Kashmir Police jawan was seriously injured in this sudden firing. Responding to the firing by the terrorists, the jawan was immediately rushed to the nearest hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead.
Soon after the firing, the security forces took their positions and started retaliatory firing on the terrorists. Meanwhile, other security forces started cordoning off the area. A police official said that amidst the firing of the terrorists, the security personnel were repeatedly asked to surrender but they did not agree to lay down their arms. Meanwhile, the security forces killed all the three terrorists one after the other in retaliatory firing.

Even after the terrorists were killed, the security forces carried out a search operation in the area and when it was confirmed that no more terrorists were present in the area, the operation was announced to end. Sources said that the three Pakistani terrorists were entrusted with the responsibility of target killing and attack on Amarnath Yatra.
