No headway in 4 explosions in Rajouri

JAMMU, Apr 26: Two truck operators from Kokernag in Anantnag district, who had transported two fidayeen from village Supwal in Samba district to Sunjuwan for carrying out terror attack, have confessed having shifted a group of four militants from the International Border to South Kashmir successfully in January, this year.
Meanwhile, police haven’t ruled out that blast at village Laliana in Bishnah tehsil just hours before Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Palli Panchayat in Samba district on April 24, was an act of Pakistan.

Police hasn’t been able to work out any of the four blasts that took place recently at Koteranka-Budhal belt in Rajouri district.
Sources told the that Bilal Ahmad Wagay and Ishfaq Ahmad Chopan, both residents of Kokernag in Anantnag district, who shifted two fidayeen in their truck from village Supwal in Samba district to Sunjuwan, have confessed during their questioning that they had transported a group of four militants from Samba border to South Kashmir in January this year.
They were working as Over Ground Workers (OGWs) of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) and were also being paid Rs one lakh for carrying militants from border to other areas in their truck, which has already been seized by police in Anantnag.
Police was, however, questioning them to ascertain whether they had shifted more militants from the border to Kashmir.
Earlier also during gun battles with militants at Nagrota, Jhajjar Kotli etc on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, police had arrested truck operators who had transported militants from the International Border. They too had confessed having shifted more groups to the Valley.
As far as mysterious blast at village Laliana in Bishnah just hours before the Prime Minister’s visit is concerned, SSP Jammu Chandan Kohli today visited the spot for detailed examination and investigations.
Kohli later told the that anything coming from across the border which triggered blast at Laliana is not ruled out.
Additional DGP Jammu Mukesh Singh is monitoring investigations in the case.
Meanwhile, police hasn’t been able to make any headway so far in four blasts that took place in Koteranka-Budhal belt in Rajouri district within last one month.
In first two blasts last month, there were no injuries while in third blast, a non-local couple from Uttar Pradesh was injured. In the fourth blast a day before, two workers of a tent house were wounded.
Prior to these four blasts also, a couple of blasts took place in Rajouri but they too haven’t been worked out so far.
Police said their investigations have made some progress and soon they will work out the cases.
